Pearl Jam TEN Re-Issue

Thought I'd share that with you guys, speaking in the last post about the upcoming TEN Re-Issue.

A few excerpts are already available at PearlJam.com, and it is brillant. As much as I do not like to "revisit" a classic album and take a chance to mess it all, let's say that the new Brendan O'Brian remix is amazing - it is raw, heavy and sounds energetic. The presence of the band is amazing compared to the "over-produced" album that we all know.

Well, they had a few excerpts also at RollingStone.com, and I guess that Pearl Jam gave them the permission to distribute mp3 files of new songs. So I'm taking the liberty to share these with you... grab this while it's hot, cause it really is.

Porch Re-Mix: It sounds raw, punk, thrashy, perfect.

Brother Re-Mix: An outtake of Ten that is going to finally see the day with vocals (was an instrumental version on Lost Dogs). This one is actually getting some airplay right now, to promote the re-release.

-- UPDATE: Crap. Blogger won't let me upload mp3 files directly. It sucks. Your alternative is to go streaming the songs on Pearl Jam's web site. You'll also find other excerpts such as "Drop in the Park" songs, the 1992 bootleg included in the Super Deluxe edition - it sounds killer.

After listening to these, I hope that nobody is going to contradict the fact that this band has been more than relevant and vital in rock's landscape.
